Message II
For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
The Christians have the privilege to know the Son of God personally, a rare relationship. Who knows us from whilst we were in our mother’s womb.
He knows every hair on our head, such Prefect Love, Grace for Forgiveness, Love which takes away the sin of the world!
The True Story. Of an infant baby boy. Coming to save the world. Visited by Shepherds tending their flocks by night, when they see a great light and an angel of the Lord went amongst them, Kings visited Jesus at the stable, offering gifts. Such significant gifts. Which in the end would come to their own use, Gold Frankincense and myrrh, through his ministry within areas of Judea, Jerusalem, Nazareth, Damascus, Bethlehem, and Mount of Olives? Only naming a few.
Christians all over the world celebrations occur because of the coming of the Lord Jesus who came many years ago, although 2,000 years ago, still present of the Holy Spirit which was promised to us those many years ago.
His ministry showed an example for us how to lead our lives, to conduct in company and how to treat others, as placing ourselves last, giving us a new commandment that we should love one another as He loved us!
The pity is nowadays Christmas has got so commercialised, the world has lost the true meaning of Christmas, and forget the Christ, and use x instead, through laziness or just that they don’t think that Christ has anything to do with Christmas, although the churches are open Christmas day, that is so strange!
Children nowadays want so much more, gone are the days of a small sock hang on the fireplace, and singing around a piano, families don’t want to be families any more, the off bring seem to want to do their own devices. More of the same Sound of Music and the shows that come on our television every year come what may.
Although seeing it on Songs of Praise has a different meaning!
The lighthouse is a wonderful example of the Lord’s Love to us, shining the dangers that may ahead, rocks and boulders of our Christian life, Lead by the Holy Spirit who shines the good in our lives to others.
Instructs us, teaches us and sometimes tells us we are wrong, enabling us to follow the Lord with the life he has given and promised us Life to the fullness!
A gift of free salvation which he offers to each one of us, he gives us free choice to run our lives, free choice to make the wrong decision, allowing us to be Christ like,
Yes we are all human have sin in all our lives, although we have a Loving God that if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from every kind of wrong! This is the fact that Christmas and Easter is the form of our salvation without it Christ would be nothing but a star in the sky!
Faith would be never been brought into the world, eternal life, would never be part of our inheritage, life as we know it without God would be harder and wouldn’t have a bolt hold to go to, and get peace from.
This Christmas a thought for the many, who are in darkness, needing a torch to show the way to the Lord’s Kingdom. Lord have mercy!
The disasters that have happened, earthquakes wars and destruction, caused by tornados.
Have a thought for those who died in the bomb on the 7th July in London Lord have mercy!
We all need in our life some comfort for one or two areas in our lives, as we are all human beings and none of us are prefect, we need a torch to show the way, reassurance confidence, that comes from knowing a comforter, Holy Spirit which Christ left to help us when he returned to his Father in Heaven. Lord have mercy!
Many Churches this year will place a notice on the boards and the message will read.
This is the season to have a reason to be happy and rejoice in it!
Christmas is a happy time of the year, for some of us, but think of those who are going through darkness, either through illness, lost of a love one, or not knowing God as a Father that loves us…….. Lord have mercy.
Happy Christmas. and a happy New Year to each and every one of you.
God’s Blessing be upon you, now and for ever. Amen.
