Deception

To deceive is to cover up the truth, the facts,to to make things seem different from the way they really are. To deceive is to send someone in the wrong direction. Even telling a half truth is a form of deception because it is manipulating information to get your way. What makes deception so bad is that it is not just a mistake or an oversight, it is a calculated plan to mislead another, a deliberate attempt to get someone to believe an untruth. Deception breaks the bond of trust that is so nessarsary to human relationships, God hates deception because he not only stands for truth, he is the enbodiment of truth. He will never deceive, and his truth will never lead you astray. In Judges 16:6 we read "Please tell me what makes you so strong and what it would take to tie you up securely". We are often deceived when we want to believe what we no we should'nt, When our consceince tells us no and our desires tell us yes. We should listen to consceince. In 2 Timothy 3:16 we read All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true. In Acts 17:11 They searched the scriptures day after day to check up on Paul and Sialas. If someone is trying convince you to do something that contradicts scripture you can be assured that it is wrong. In Geneses 3:6 we read The fruit looked so fresh and delicious, and it would make her so wise. The promise of deception usually seems too good to be true. In Proverbs 14:7 Stay away from fools, for you won't find knowledge there. How often we ignor obvious truths, stay away from deceitful people if you want to keep from being deceived. We so often deceive ourselves as we read in Jeremiah 17:9 The human heart is the most deceitful. In Galations 6:7 Don't be misled, Remember you can't ignore God and get away with it. We deceive ourselves when we think we can ignore God and still receive his blessings. In 1 Corinthians 3:18 we read Stop fooling yourselves, If you think you are wise by the worlds standards, You will have to become a fool so you can become wise by Gods standards. We deceive ourselves when we live as though this world is all that there is. In Ephesians 4:25 Put away all falshood and "Tell your neighbour the truth" because we belong to each other. When we lie to one another, we chip away at the foundation of truth that must undergird a healthy relationship. Furthermore we cannot introduce deceit into any relationship without opening the door to Satan " the father of lies " (John 8:44) In 2 Timothy 3:13 we read Evil people and imposters will flourish. They will go on deceiving others and themselves will be deceived. As long as Satan has the power to deceive he will deceive others, and they will try and deceive us. The worst kind of deceiver is the false teacher, who appears to come for our good, only leads us on a destructive path. Keep on looking up to the light which is Jesus Christ and Remember Jesus Loves You And Has A Plan For Your Life. Sincerely in Christ. Clive (Matched_1)
